About

Aspiring immigration lawyer, occasional poet, armchair sociologist, caffeine addict, leftish anarcho-monarchist peacenik granola-eating type. No one in particular.

As it transpires, the title of this blog is incorrectly excerpted from The Walrus and the Carpenter, by Lewis Carroll. It should, of course, have read “of cabbages, and kings”. However, the author has resolved that his error will stand forever, immortalized in header and URL: as a testament to his folly, and a reminder to himself to Do The Research next time. Besides, it has a certain idiosyncratic appeal.

The monobrowed gingerbread dude looks a little like me.

A happy gingerbread couple.

Walton, I decided to check it out. Yes, nice blog. Of course I can’t get excited about most of your local politics, but it is enjoyable reading.

    Thank you. :-)

Ah, excellent. I see that you’ve uploaded a lovely new header graphic. I can no longer confuse your blog with that of a Silicon Valley Computer Scientist friend. Because that was always weird :-)

For what it’s worth, I like your title better. It’s constantly begging a question that will never be answered, hinting at a fictional sentence that will never be written.
